This day was extremely frustrating. I had spent the whole day before looking through online archives and gathering up footage which I wanted to use as collaging material to create an abstract and moving collage; possibly also animating it.

I had a clear plan in mind, but as soon as I started on my collage, it did not turn out like I imagined it at all. I got so frustrated and started doubting my capabilities. Why? Because I am expecting of myself to be better at certain things already than I am. But this mindset prevents me from improving since I give up quickly and avoid these tasks, in this case After Effects.

What it could become...

I still think that the original idea of creating this abstract paintings from collaging found videomaterial is a great idea, but I will approach differently and start slowly.
